    It is a comfort to know this place is still around with all the great restaurants from the fun times of my 20s quickly closing.The food is fantastic and identical to what I had back in university days. They may have opened in the 1970s from what I remember. I have never been able to find any Tex-Mex in Austin that I enjoy as much Manas. Get it while you can folks!

    Loved this hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. Outside it looks rough. Inside it looks loved.

    The chips were nice and chunky. The salsa had a great kick. This wasn't mild, but it was great. The queso was amongst the best I have had.

    I ordered the Chicken Mole but about half way thru the wait was informed they ran out of Mole sauce. Would have liked to have known that earlier, but this is way too small of a spot to have everything in quantity.

    Instead I ordered the taco plate. Next time, I'll just order three tacos. The tacos were the best I've had in a LONG time. I went all over New Braunfels looking for the best taqueria and this would definitely rate amongst the best.

    The rice was above average, but the refried beans were terrible. They really need a new supplier or recipe on this one.

    I'd go again and maybe try the mole or tamales but definitely the tacos are a go to item.

    Don't judge a book by its cover. This place may not be located in the Taj Mahal, but the food is incredible!  $7 lunch specials here that will feed the hungriest of people. The salsa is amazing and has just the right amount of heat. My husband loved the queso so much he had to order more with his meal. It's worth driving just a little further off the highway, literally just a few more blocks.

    Thanks for the great meal while we were visiting San Marcos. We will plan our next trip through so that we can be back here for lunch or dinner!

    1st time today to try Mana's. Food was delicious will definately come back  Service was great. The gentlemen with the man bun was very nice & attentive to us...will be back again

    Worth the search.  One of three very good San Marcos Mexican places and, by far, the funkiest.  My sole complaint was taco meat that was WAY too salty.  Other items were not noticeably salty.

    TexMex all the way.  Beans and rice with enchiladas, chalupas, tamales, tacos, etc.  Very good flour tortillas and salsa rojo.
